About us
Fellowship Fund for Pakistan, a charitable trust based in Karachi, was established in 2003 to provide Pakistan’s most eminent thinkers with opportunities to participate in international deliberations on current and future issues facing Pakistan through dialogue with global opinion and policy makers, leading thinkers, scholars and experts. FFFP seeks to promote non-partisan scholarship at international forums in order to encourage free, informed and serious dialogue on issues of public interest and concern. The Founder Trustees of the charitable trust were: Mian Mohammed Abdullah, Bashir Ali Mohammed, Nasser Jaffer, Munawar Z. Noorani and A. Razak Tabba.
In order to further FFFP’s Aims and Objectives, the Fellowship Fund For Pakistan signed an MOU with the Woodrow Wilson Center on December 15, 2003 to provide financial and advisory support on an annual basis:
i) for a nine-month fellowship for Pakistani or Pakistani – origin scholars and
ii) for one policy – oriented conference on an economic topic that is current and relevant in the US – Pakistan discussions, debates and dialogue whether in academia, media or diplomacy.
Fellowship Fund For Pakistan is very pleased to have collaborated with the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars on its Pakistan Program from 2004 to 2017 under several MOUs. Given the particular environment in Washington DC, FFFP chose not to renew its MOU. In 2021, FFFP’s Board decided that it was time to re-engage with U.S think tanks, academia and opinion makers and is considering various options.
